1 Mile guide; Dunglass
Sometimes it rains here in the Shire!, and Sunday was a wet day , but did not stop a fun bike ride, and i drove down to Chris`s farm for what he calls his `1 Mile Tour` along the beach at Dunglass before we cycled along to Cove...
Dunglass Dean...
Onto the beach and a walk across the slippy seaweed covered rocks and Chris pointed out the `Lady Halls Pool` a bathing pond with steps cut into the rocks...
More steps cut into the cliff face led around to the double arches...
Along the beach and up to the Dunglass Bridges...
Over the border into the old county name of Berwickshire, and down to Cove...
Low tide in the harbour...
Always time for a fun photo...
Or two...
Back to Chris`s farm and changed into dry clothes and a coffee and blether, making for a fun day out on the coast,

Beachride to a BBQ...
Pics by M`s friends...
M and her work colleagues book the BBQ site at Yellowcraig every summer for a get together,
M suggested we cycle down on the Fatbikes and get in some beach as been a while, so we rode down from Gullane and spent a nice afternoon with nice company who over the coarse of the afternoon most of her work colleagues got on the beach on a Fatbike and they all really enjoyed it...
I find socialising with people i have never met a bit uncomfortable, i dunno guess i am not a big social person. Once you find a common interest though it`s a lot easier, and here was a bunch of folk who have never ridden a Fatbike, but heard about them at work from M,
Once again Fatbikes bring out smiles in folk :)
Always an excuse to show off...

Another Midweek Cycle; More Harvest fields..
Another dry evening and back out for a cycle. managed to string together a 15 or so mile off road loop with little public road riding and it was a mild evening with a warm westerly breeze as i rode and soaked up the harvest gold views of the Shire...
A 5 minute shelter under a tree as a shower passed over, a big sky added to the views...
From NB it was home on the JMW, another nice ride at my favourite time of year scenically in East Lothian, the main Wheat harvest will be underway over the next couple of weeks...
Again another film,

Midweek Cycle; Harvested field...
Out for an hour and after a days rain a light breeze cleared the sky briefly for a quick ride and a nearby field of bales ideal for a loop around for some pics and film, the bales don`t sit for long in the fields these days so gotta make the most of it...
Moody clouds coming this way...
Last light of the day before clouding over, a nice hour out on the bike...
A wee film, Song is `Be Yourself` by Morcheeba

Life in the Rain... Fatbike cycle around John Muir Woods...
In Scotland it`s harvest time but today was a `dreich` day of easterly on shore drizzle and a high tide, so perfect for a cycle through the woods of John Muir Park, where we had the trails more or less to ourselves as day visitors kept away from the coast and apart from some dog walkers the woods were deserted...
High tide indeed...
