Saturday Cycle- Cycle to Bickertons Tomb...

Nearly mid winter, and a cold snap with frozen ground with snow forecast  on higher ground.
Craig and  had a quick wee cycle from MRT where we helped M move some jumps for a Xmas party they were doing (with horses!) and we rode to Bickertons tomb,

Yellow lenses improved vision in the low light...

I switched to Black and white when editing the film and so some stills are also B&W, taken from the Go Pro footage...

The tomb of 13C Crusader Knight Sir David de Lindsey, killed on his 3rd Crusade his body was brought back for burial in the former monastery here in Luffness woods...

The nearby water tower is an interesting structure, used for watering livestock that would graze these fields that are surrounded by a Ha-ha sunken wall...

Heading back to the van at MRT and a stubble field!, frozen solid like everything else!

A fun wee cycle to stretch the legs, and my last cycle of 2018,
Next the 2018 Blog Retrospect,

Dawn Cycle around Gullane Point...

Winter sun at the weekend, finally!, i was actually on the coast before the sun broke over hill and onto the beach at Gullane but i enjoyed a cycle of solitude with no one around...

The wind was still strong but nothing like the previous evenings Gale, the sun touched the dune tops as i rode down to the coast...

Some stills from the Go Pro...

It was now 10am, short days of daylight...

Job done and home to sort firewood...

Into December...

Saturday cycle with friends...

Been a long month but the 5 weeks of November is past and weather wise has been for the most part cloudy damp and wet!, proper November weather!,
Grabbed bike rides when not too bad and today the forecast was for showers later though still cool as Chris noticed the chill riding fingerless gloves as we rode through Binning Woods on route to the coast...

Binning Woods...

Down to Peffersands and brakes on as a 5 foot drop at the bottom of the Dune has been ripped out by recent high tides...

Along the beach to Tyninghame woods...

 Brew up at Willowbrae Point...

 Secret trail...

Always fun to find alternative routes, here via some field boundaries...

Onto Tyninghame...

Coffee and cake at the local cafe...

Back home as the weather turned for the worst with cold rain,  an ace wee cycle with friends...

Here is some film, Song is `Seeya Later 2014` by Boards of Canada
