sunday cycle...

i headed out a cycle on the pugsley early today as have got a bit of a chill that came on friday evening and i just wanted to sweat it out...i havent had a cold in winter for around 5 years and usually after 24 hours they pass...
i rode along the john muir way east to john muir park...the river tyne was still running fast with 2 feet water at the knowes ford...decided to give it a miss today!...

i found a path i thought existed through a strip of woods down to hedderwick...pays to go exploring...nothing special...just a walkers path-no horse tracks which gives another route to the coast...

some nice old wood...

along above the coast to hedderwick and on to east links farm...

another old railway goods wagon used as a feed store...

heres the tartan sheep at east links family park i mentioned before!...

i rode an anti clockwise route around john muir woods then clockwise back around the coastline...

these woods are a good place to ride in severe stormy/windy weather...

down onto the beach...

and there were fresh bike tracks on the hard sand...look like continental vertical tyres- yeah what a bike geek eh? lol...

i only passed one couple walking dogs riding around the tideline out to the point...

there was hardly any driftwood along the tideline...the hightide had washed away the bottom of the dunes down the eastern side of the bay...

there were a few crabs washed in amongest the seaweed...

riding home i returned on the same trails feeling just drained with the cold...
feel better after 2 pints of 6% apple juice!, deft be a hot tottie tonight before bed...

click below for some film i did on todays ride...
