Surly Wednesday Update; trying out a Bluto front suspension fork...

When i built the Wednesday i did from day one plan to fit a suspension fork and dropper post and to ride the bike like this along with a set of plus wheels.
I don`t own a regular MTB and well this is my mountain bike with a fork fitted, Plus wheels and a dropper post.
Also with ongoing muscular pains in my shoulder blades i think from a prevous broken collar bone racing Enduro motorbikes over 20 years ago i need to stop knocking hell out of myself riding off road for fun...

Friend Ben offered a pair of Rock Shox Bluto`s for an agreed price and dropped them off at work on Friday and i fitted them this morning...

I don't need the supplied Wednesday through axle or post mount for the brake so left them on the fork...

Good news (for me ) is the steerer is the same 200mm length  - i like a high bar and can still leave the set up as i like it...

The Bluto was easy and straight forward to fit...

Front brake using the direct mounts....

Only the front brake cable was a bit short on the longer non compressed suspension fork so was easy to extend using a cable adjuster and longer bit outer cable, then ran a new inner cable...

Job done and ready to ride tomorrow...
