Friends Phil and Anne visited for the weekend, along with Craig we got out a cycle on Saturday on a day that dawned overcast and light drizzle - a grim winter day for a coast ride but we made the most of it and it was good to catch up as we cycled west from North Berwick to Yellowcraig and on to Archerfield for tea/coffee and cake at The Walled Garden...
Phil happy to be back on the coast...

Phil and Anne ride Electric assist bikes, with health issues these two bikes have made this couple happy to be able to ride again with friends and enjoy the pleasure of cycling again...
Craig had his first ride on an Ebike and was impressed...

After refreshments it was along to Gullane and down to the former RAF Drem Airfield and a look at some remaining artifacts that can be explored around the Perimeter track, like here the former Battle HQ...
However i have already been in for a look around days after the bunker was re opened in 2010 for the first time since 1946, and filmed the explore,

Moving on and the Ammunition stores, trees on the roof as nature starts to reclaim...
Many air raid shelters can still be accessed...
Onwards and Saltcoats castle, where we met the landowner out with his dog and got a detailed history lesson on the place...
From Gullane it was down to the coast where a very high tide would see us take to the grass lined sandy single track above the coastline...

Light was fading as we reached NB inland to head back to HQ for an evening of banter, booze and a roaring stove after a great day out with friends...
