Isolation Cycle 98; Barnes Ness...

Cycling to Barnes Ness and I like the Industrial Coast theme here with the Cement works and big machines working, I hoped to film the huge CAT Dump trucks  but they were out of sight further down in the Opencast, but we could here the roar of thunder as they tipped tons of rocks...

Down at the Lighthouse, and all was quiet...

Life is good...

Isolation Cycle 96; John Muir Park

Another sunny day in the Shire as we near the end of the Corona Apocalypse Isolation Cycle titled films,

Ending those titles though another week at time of writing and publishing to Schedule (25th June) as it's become a farce now with most folk not bothering to isolate now, in shops a lot of folk cutting about where they want and I think the fact that you can now go to Ikea in Edinburgh 25 miles away but cannot visit you own mum in her home 5 miles away and give her a hug is a joke,  so rounding these rides off at 99 as a good number...

Today a ride around JMP on the Fatbike wheels again, the Council car parks are open and beaches are mobbed with the good weather, no idea where they all go to the loo about with the toilets still shut!, but with a Fatbike you can get far away from the mainstream of visitor who are too lazy to walk far and out at the point we had the place to ourselves...

With some WW2 .303 Cartridge casings collected to clean up as souvenirs we headed home through green fields of bright Poppys...

Isolation Cycle 93; Whiteadder Loop, Pt1 of 3....

Another day cycling, today a loop around the Whiteadder Reservoir, it was real windy but mild as we winched west into the strong wind and eventually up onto the Pylon Road, it was warm but not baking hot so did not expect to see an Adder crossing the track!...

They are so well camouflaged  once onto the grass...

We winched on into the wind and soon were up on Fallago Rig,

The famous `TOOT` sign here!, a path leads via some steep steps to a path across fields to Edin`s Hall Broch...

Returning to Abby St Bathans...

Down hill all the way, a nice way to end any bike ride!...

Isolation Cycle 91; Abbey St Bathans Pt1, West loop...

Today G took me a cycle around the Farmland where she grew up, we parked at Abbey St Bathans and rode a loop west from the village joining some of The Southern Upland Way (SUW) and returned through the Farmland where she lived 18 years, Up on the Hill she last visited up here 33 years ago, so was a nostalgic visit as she told me stories of growing up here, as most young folk did on hill farms she rode horses before she cycled, made going up hills a lot easier!

Wee Lamb!, this wee fella was hours old, showed no awarenesses or fear of our presence...

This Wood is named Linton Wood, and was planted by G`s Grandfather!...

And Barnside Farm where she grew up...

We were soon back in the village and time for some cheese sandwiches and flasks of coffee before another wee loop east, more in Pt 2...
