Another Frozen beachride at JMCP

Friend Chris joined up for a cycle around JMCP as we again had another day of sub zero temperatures

Winter beachriding continues....

Back out again at JMCP on the Fatbikes and today a mid day high tide, tumbling surf and winter sun made for a lovely light on the coast, a lot of debris washed down the river tyne in the estuary here and washed up out the sea after a crazy amount of rain at the end of last week.

Back on the coast for winter on the Surly Pugsley 2.0's!

After some 29+ wheel action bike packing G has the Fat wheels back on her Pink Pugsley for winter beach riding. I have two Orange Pugsleys so have one 29+ one full fat...

Surly Moonlander wheels with 100mm wide rims and 4.8" Schwalbe Jumbo Jim tyres are the way to go for beachriding!...

Coastal cycle to Thorntonloch...

 

Into September...

Back out a pedal with G as both off work today and we went a Pedal east out of town along to Thorntonloch beach....

Across the smooth rocks at Skateraw...

The Dry Burn is living up to its name this now as indeed is dry!...

Barnes Ness was surprisingly quiet today for a Bank Holiday Monday (England and Wales holiday)

Beachride at JMCP...

 

Good to get out a morning cycle together again,

And again just local with no van yet repaired (next week!) and the sky was a mixed bag all day with sunshine and light cloud drifting in along with Sea Haar since the wind direction changed to an onshore easterly...

The Pugsleys are running great and got treated to a good shampoo wash after a rinse off once home...

Solo cycle at JMCP

 

With no van this now most beachriding is going to be here at John Muir Country Park (JMCP) on east at Barnes Ness... hoping to get the van looked at soon...

When G is on nightshift I go to ground and clear out HQ - either to the man cave or away for a cycle...

Today I was cycling again around JMCP and enjoyed a deserted wood and beach, the whole place was easily quiet, but I was not complaining!

Another day cycling early morning around John Muir Country Park, low tide and a bit searching for WW2  Cartridge shells, found some but none of good condition to bother take home and polish...

Back out on the Surly Puglanders - that's the Surly Pugsley 2.0`s with the huge Surly Moonlander wheels comprising 100mm wide rims and 4.8" tyres at 4 and 5 psi giving the biggest available float on sand for a Fatbike,,,

Buzzed by a low flying swan we were back out along our local beaches at John Muir Country Park (JMCP) and being a Monday was real quiet...

Belhaven pond is again hosting some local celebrities - 8 this year...
