Fields are turning as we near the start of the Harvest, and scenery takes on a lovely golden landscape around the county over the next two months. Even a short cycle around the block early and you see the Shire in a different light, hardly any cars out and about yet all is quiet and peaceful...
Friday and first week back at work done and an early finish so we went a wee beachride at Archerfield,
The wether stayed dry though we watched big showers move down the Forth Estuary,
A cloudless sky can be as dull as a Grey sky and always better when there is some big clouds building and the sky is changing...
Most of the coast will be mobbed this coming weekend with half of Edinburgh on Furlough and beach car parks and toilets open, but you can always find a quieter spot away from the hoards of visitors if you know where to go...

And a left over of the WW2 1940 `Coastal Crust` Defences where we rode onto the Salt Marsh to Kilspindie...
Around to Gosford Bay and the 1st of 3 real heavy downpours!...
Was soon over and a bit damp but warm with the temperature we continued...
Back at Mile End near the Van we. parked up and enjoyed Tea and cake baking in the heat between downpours, was a typical June day of mixed weather for sure!...
Wee film from today, Song is `Nighthawk` by Jaytech
Cycling to Barnes Ness and I like the Industrial Coast theme here with the Cement works and big machines working, I hoped to film the huge CAT Dump trucks but they were out of sight further down in the Opencast, but we could here the roar of thunder as they tipped tons of rocks...
Down at the Lighthouse, and all was quiet...
Life is good...
Wee film, Song, Song is `Skyliner` by Boards of Canada
A big day out in the Lammermuirs, 37 miles and just over 4000ft of climbing,
A good workout with rewards of big skies, great views, and no one around!,
We passed 1 walker on the SUW near Twin Cairns Law, and 2 bike packers on the climb up the eastern side and that was it!,
While the coast is absolutely mobbed down to North Berwick you can escape to the hills and get away from folks, esp when you ride deep into the hills as we did today...
Roll the pics...
An epic ride, G was a bit tired from not enough food, but never moaned, or winged, or complained, a real trooper!
Film of the day, Song is a remix of Boards of Canada's `Buckie High` by Alexander Lynch Totheark Remix)
