I rebuilt the hub myself as i have the hub service drifts and hub holder, with these tools, a soft mallet, some white spirit and it is an easy process...

Wagon Wheels roll!!!...
I am getting the hang of wheel building and this build was the first with new spokes and nipples!, i got the spoke lenghts just from googling around on the web and found it here at the ace website;

I ordered the spokes along with loads of spare nipples for replacements on other wheels that are getting old and corroded with beach riding from Germany at Bike-Discount.com
I oiled the spoke threads as told by friend Colin and lacing one side i turned the wheel and found that a lot easier to start the other side left of the valve hole as told to do by Mike, with the wheel laced roughly i left it to the next morning to true using the Surly ECR as a jig...
Saturday;
Weekend on at work so up early and mowing greens on the golf course by 6am, home and after breakfast i trued the wheel on the ECR with some cable ties...
Meanwhile;
Did some other stuff in the garage rain showers passed over,
Friend Mark commented on my brake pads failing the other weekend and said to try Brake pads by Disco Brakes, He rates the ceramic pads and says they do not squeal as much as Superstar pads,
4 pairs of Avid BB7 ceramic pads arrived a few days later for £26, i fitted two pairs to the Surly KramPug...
Top tip with BB7 brakes is re grease the inner pad adjuster with anti seizure grease, i use Copper grease...
Easy to apply to the threads and the brake pistons using a small 1/2 brush with the handle cut down to fit in the Copper grease tin...
Meanwhile Mowgli snoozed after a big run flat out around the golf course!....
Old pads will do as spares for the tool bags...
Up to Mikes Shop and he checked my wheel for true ness and was quite impressed!, i bought some 24" inner tubes when there for Ghetto tubeless 29ers, as i needed one anyway for this wheel...
Breaking the bead on the old wheel i managed to save some of the old tyre sealant...
Two wraps of Vinyl flooring underlay secured with duct tape to get a tight fitting tyre-allowing inflation with a track pump ...
I fitted the tube and split it with scissors, soaped it fitted the tyre it aired easy and popped out on the bead,
i removed the valve core and added 160mm of `Joes No Flats` Sealant mixed with some OKO Linseed Agri tyre sealant and it aired up perfect!...
Just the extruding split inner tube to trim and all done...
The ECR has little tyre clearance, this is with Surly Monkey Nuts installed for the front mech...
So bike all done and sorted...
Sunday;
After an early morning shift at work i headed out on the ECR and rode a loop of approx 30 miles.
The day started overcast but brightened as the skies cleared midday...

Railway line walk to Longniddry...
Seaton Hill Woods...
Dean Woods...
John Muir Way, Longniddry Bents...
Loop around Seaton Sands mini golf course...
JMW again...
Coffee stop at mums for an hour, then onwards...
Gosford...
Aberlady Bay and JMW to Gullane...
Close enough for me to the golf...
Drem Airfield...
Old roads home via Balgone...
As you can guess i really like this bike. Though i think the ECR will end up going to a pair of Jones Loop Handlebars with Microshift thumbies in the future...
