Midweek Cycle; local woods and trails to the coast...
Overcast but dry 28 mile cycle around the local woods and coast today, 29+ bikes are proving ideal for this riding,
I swapped the drop bars, brakes and gear cables on the ECR back onto the Karate Monkey 29er this morning as i plan to go with Jones Loop bars on the ECR, some regular riser bars will have to suffice this now until i buy another pair...
Thumbshifters borrowed from the Moonlander allow the front mech to be kept trimmed...
Someone else riding around here on Nates :) i see these tracks often, along with Knard tyre tracks, Krampus owners...
Through Binning woods and across to Seacliff...
A lot of Winter Barley fields are now sprayed off, and the start of the harvest is not far away, maybe next week!...
Peffersands, Tyninghame Woods and around Mosshouse point and back through Binning Woods again...
I spied a combine parked up, 1st sighting of this year!,
Headed to see Francis via the John Muir Way...
Dogs exercised the fun way :)
I put the drop bars back on the Karate Monkey 29er as this bike does not really have a use now as a ridged MTB now i have the 29+ bikes, and i did prefer this bike with the Salsa Woodchipper drop bars to the ECR or Pugsley...
In the meantime it will be fun to compare these two bikes when in such similar set ups...
More soon...
