Midweek cycle...

On Sunday i spent a day at home and some needed R&R and did some tinkering with the bikes...

The Sram X5 cranks are working fine on the Surly Wednesday and i will do a post soon on how i have set it up to take the 4.8" rear tyre, it`s close on clearance and i will probably fit some 4" Jumbo Jim's and enjoy the bike with the rear wheel slammed forward for quicker handling, and fit the 5" tyres for big days on sand like day trips to Northumberland etc...
So the new Pugsley got it`s RS7 crank arms and Phil Wood BB back and got a good clean...

I stripped the rear wheel on the old Pugsley and laced up the Alfine 8 speed internal gear hub (IGH) i bought when i got my back pay a few months ago and just waiting on a new chain to get it rolling again...

Will do a blog post also on this once its rolling again...

The Krampus and ECR have both had their gearing lowered, and i even hoovered out the man cave!...

Still got to fit gears again to the Surly Cross-Check and get some 41mm Knard tyres for it, just for fun i tried some 29 x2.1" tyres and they fit!, but i would not run it like this as if a spoke snapped the buckle would rub the wheel on the frame, but it looks bonkers!

Out this evening after another sunny dry day, a cool easterly breeze,  but dry, and good for chomping silage at work!...

Home and out later on the New Pugsley around the local woods and coast...

Chooks!.

High tide and soft wet sand so to save washing the bike i rode through the dunes, up around Ravensheugh then down through the woods to St Baldreds Point

Secret Trail, Sandy Hirst point and home via Binning Woods as the sun sunk and it started to get cooler...

Part of the original track here before i started to ride through the WW2 Anti tank blocks...

Last burst of fantastic light...

More soon...
