Easter Sunday, and i was up with the larks to catch the low tide at 9am and enjoy a quiet coast before it would be mobbed with day visitors. This morning i was heading along to Schoughall (pronounced `Skoal` as in the Lager!) and took the roads after 2 days of heavy rain that has left everywhere sodding, the last of the storm was breaking up and the clouds moving out to sea and down the coast, Sunshine between the clouds created a fantastic light on the coast today...
Fording huge flooding on the roads there...
2 Go Pro stills...
Onto the coast at Schoughall and straight away i could see where the storms have moved sand away...
The sand along the tide lines moved and dumped over the usually exposed rocks on the eastern end of the Car rocks, creating sand moguls that were fun to cycle...
3 Go Pro stills...
Onto Peffersands and again here big banks of sand and a washed out area and a large part of steel from a ship wreck...
Probably from the nearby wreck of the SS Poderosa...
Sand here washed away has once again exposing the rib cage skeleton hull of an old fishing boat wreck..
More steel wreckage, looks like a box of some sort..
The noise of tumbling surf is always great to listen to, and the clearing sky lit up the waves and wet sand with amazing light...
Here is a wee film,
Song is `You Have Been Disconnected` by The Brian Jonestown Massacre...
