Rewind to 3 weeks today; Spring Equinox...

3 weeks ago today before the whole UK Corona Virus kicked off it was the Spring Equinox - equal hours of daylight and darkness...

Finally an uneventful winter (weather wise) is coming to an end and now more daylight hours soon to get out cycling after work with the clocks moving forward an hour the weekend after the Equinox,
We went out a cycle around the exposed low tide sands of  Aberlady Bay, then along to Gosford Bay
after first a look around some of the remaining WW2 defences in the dunes west of Gullane Point...

"21st August 1940" as inscribed on this anti tank block, so that will be 80 years this August since the Coastal Crust Defences were built here in East Lothian, need to do a ride on that day along the coast...

Spigot mortor mount, I found another one of these along the coast at Fernie Ness, both of these are not documented on any official websites...

Out to the sub wrecks and a loop around the bays exposed sands at low tide...

Surly Moonlander has a few wee tweaks which i will blog soon in an Update blog...

From the Reserve point we cycled inland and past Aberlady and around Kilspindie to Gosford Bay../

Fernie Ness and the other WW2 Spigot Mortor mount i mentioned...

Think the guys that laid these Anti tank blocks were a bit drunk looking at their angle!...

More soon...
