Isolation Cycle 71; Cockburnspath Tower...

Another warm day and we continue our daily cycling close to home in keeping with Government guidelines, staying safe, staying away from folk and not touching any gates etc,
On date of scheduling this blog (29th May) Scotland has entered a traffic light phase of lightening the Pandemic lockdown, 2 weeks after England has started, soon we will be able to drive short distances to exercise, and meet family in gardens at social distances,  as I say, i wrote on 29th May,  while a lot of folk are cutting about in cars now and prob visiting pals, you still gotta be careful, the virus is still around...

Today we cycled down the coast, passing on route the Tornoble-err I mean the Torness Nuke train,
You want to see the speed this thunders through Dunbar!, way faster than regular trains!

Armed guards...

Green lanes led under the A1 road to the 15th Century ruin of Cockburnspath Tower...

A bit over grown here!, so continued on a field track instead in the right direction...

Under the A1 and into the wooded glen scented with wild garlic as many woods are this spring...

In a cottage ruin beside the remains of the Keep is a WW2 Air Raid shelter, a bizarre place to build one but it would have been stronger with the added walls!...

Wee film, Song is `Afterlife (Raadio Edit)` by Jakatta
