Coastal walk and SUP at Barns Ness...

Having a lazy Monday after a few days out cycling and a day out in the Jeep I went for a walk at Barns Ness while G paddle boarded around to the Lighthouse...

It was a bit hazy despite clear high pressure sky but still lovely,  good to feel the heat on your back while sitting in the sun watching G offshore and taking some pics and film with my iPhone, I t does a better job filming at distance with the soon compared to the Go Pro Hero cameras...

Probably one of the coolest Air bnb`s, though you don't get to go up the Lighthouse!

Different folk have views on what this wrecked wood object is,  my Dad was always under the impression it was the remains of a towed target for live fire aircraft offshore during WW2 when nearly the whole coast of East Lothian away from the seaside towns was closed to the public and requisitioned by the Army...

G managed a couple of pics with here waterproof camera while taking a brake...

After another seat in the sun I wondered back round the point and to the van while G made here way back then into Whitesands beach...

These mooring rings were for boats taking Lime from the Kiln here, sadly the Kiln is fenced off and East Lothian Council should really be resigning this area - used to be the the once popular Geological trail we remember as kids, and Lime kiln making history...

More soon...
