Saturday XC Cycle with friends...

East Lothian at this time of year in this dry weather is looking amazing, colour everywhere, big skies and the trails have dried out now but are yet to become overgrown with nettles etc,
Craig organised a big loop from NB that would see us out riding most of the day  and a total of 53 miles mostly off road and 5 hours riding time, roll some pics from stills from the Go Pro...

North Berwick-Whitekirk-Smeaton-East Linton-Haddington;

Dead Badger...

Hello to John from Gullane who we met at Smeaton and watches my films!

The Tyne trail was riding great, 9 miles from East Linton to Haddington,
Though the newer section west of Hailes is still bumpy esp this now with the ground being bone dry..

Westfield-Pencaitland-Orminston-Winton-Pencaitland-Nisbit-Boggs Holdings-Haddington;
Stuart headed home with bad cramp and i continued with Jason and Craig to Saltoun and the railway line walk.
Garlic scented trails through love woods around Pencaitland as we rode a loop using railwayline walks around the village, again great trails at this time of year...

The 3 pics above are from a lovely section which i filmed right through a lovely little section at Pencaitland, we rode a lot of trails like this today in woods...

Jason split at Haddington to attend a family bbq, Craig and i continued on the Surly KramPugs

Longniddry-Gosford-Luffness-Gullane-Archerfield-Yellowcraig-North Berwick

From Gosford it was a blast along though Luffnessto the old railway into Gullane and pit stop at M`s,
Recharged it was the short but fun ride to Yellowcraig and home...

8.30pm finished...

An ace day and first big ride of the year,

Here is film from the ride, with a bloomin smudge on the lens!

  2. Hi, i don`t use gpx or publish routes i ride but Craig maybe has the route, but don`t know if he publishes them on Strava or the like, maybe worth having a search on there,
    Cheers
