Friday weekly catch up; some other folks films....

Not took any pics this week, It`s been a busy week and the only cycling has been the commute to work...

Cycling;
The daily grind is always a pleasure whatever the weather,  and i always feel lucky to be able to cycle daily...

Running... Yes running!!!;
Been running after work  for a few weeks now.  Mon, Weds, and Friday,  4 or 5 miles off road across Becky`s Strip Byway,  It feels good and the muscles feel better all the time!.

Firewood...;
Been busy cutting and splitting dead standing and fallen trees and nearly got the log shed stacked full just in time as winter approaches...

The Healing process...;
Time is a great healer and adjusting to being single again gets easier as time passes,
Once you get it into your head someone does not care about you anymore then you can start to realise  `why be upset?`... life goes on , and it is ok to be on your own.
Facebook is the only social media i do and it has been a bit testing to keep that open. Messages to keep helping at Horse Endurance rides, is that all some people are interested in???
Been weird though getting two messages and offers of a date for a drink and more from one  (who is married WTF!!) from some of the ex GF`s friends!, but  i`m not interested...
Facebook, hard going with all the stupid adverts etc..,though i do have some great cycling friends on there from all around the world and there i great cycling pages...

Trip to the Brain...
Over 10 years ago i suffered a wee bit depression after a relationship break up and got the happy pills etc,,, I broke down the walls myself by going cycling, i moved house and a year later got my first Surly Pugsley,
I never looked back and make a point of staying away from people who try and tell you what to do with your life all the time,
My old Pugsley has been my vehicle through life and it has brought me so many happy memories, many shared with amazing people,  Life is Good!...
And that's why i like my bikes with big wheels,  no one tells me how i should build and ride my bikes,
No mainstream cycling magazines dictating the latest must have fatbikes and insisting on the most expensive items, We are largely ignored by the general cycling public-except those that are curious, and i like that..
Work is another place i am lucky, i work with two good guys on a hill surrounded by beautiful East Lothian Countryside,  does not matter about the low wages anymore, quality of life is worth more...
After work splitting logs,  cycling and running gives you a focus and time to think.  I kinda try not to think too much about the past,  or the future anymore. What happens right now each day in the present is all that matters,  you cannot undo what has happened in the past, and there is no point worrying about the future until it happens...

:)

Weekend cycling;
Looking forward to beach riding with friends tomorrow, and i may take a cycle up the Lammermuir hills on the ECR on Sunday...

Some films i have watched this week for you to enjoy...
Keeping in the spirit of the blog as it enters another winter of dark evenings it`s time to watch some films online...
