Midweek Cycle; End of April...

Another sunny April day, end of the month and what a month weather wise, yes it`s been cool with mostly an onshore cool easterly breeze - except for easter weekend that was a scorcher!,
Not often the bikes are caked in a layer of dust, the trails are bone dry,
Tuesday the 31st was as forecast ed overcast so glad i went out after work Monday as turned out a lovely evening....

Surly ECR Resurrection....
With parts off the alloy Charge Fatbike i split and sold recently i had a spare headset, stem, seat, seat post, Avid BB7 mechanical brakes, Ergon grips, cranks, stainless chainring and chain, and with the Jones Loop bars swapped out on the new Pugsley i decided to build up the ECR as a single speed making for another 29+ wheel bike, I love how you can rebuild Surly frames into lots of different  set ups.  I already had the single speed sprocket and spacers to convert a regular hub from SSUK 2 years ago so soon had this built up and rolling on 32;18 gear ratio that is ideal for around here on 29+ wheels...

Lots of plants and trees opening up in the woods now...

A lovely evening to be out...

Surly `Singulater` chain tensioner getting used as designed with a Shimano XT quick release, a great design...

Tailwind home now..

A cheeky midweek Cider,  left over from the weekend,
Life is good...

Film of a nice wee cycle, Song is `Keratin` by Frost
