Friday is Fat Bike day... (pic heavy content...)

Well every day has been this week being on holiday,
I always ride locally every day on the coast now on this winter weeks hols, 9 days of beach riding, and a few beers every evening in front of the fire. Its a hard life but someone has to do it...

Today i was out for 8 hours on the coast, 2 beach rides and a hour at Law Cycles in North Berwick between. It was the perfect winters day on the coast, bright blue sky, white top rollers coming in, and the coast was near deserted!...

Roll the pics...
North Berwick - Gullane - North Berwick.  an easy ride west on the beach then returned on coastal trails with the midday high tide...

Had lunch at Law Cycles in North Berwick, my eyes are hurting from looking at that lovely Salsa Beargrease
lol  -:)

Then i drove to Aberlady Bay and met Mike around 3 pm, we hoped for a sunset ride but low cloud had come in from the west... still we did a loop out to the WW2 sub wrecks, then east through the dunes to show Mike the WW2 defence blocks with the writing on them, then returned along the top of the dunes and out to the more northern of the 2 sub wrecks, before riding as the crow flies across the Bay to the old crossing which we managed to ford ok...

Look what a German POW put to work making these blocks wrote on this block in 1940...

And home to a roaring fire, topped with that sea coal i picked up, a whisky and a couple of beers...

Life is good, 2 more holidays riding still to do...
